Are you getting married in DC? Here is everything you need to know about getting your marriage license in DC.
The Marriage Bureau is located in the Moultrie Courthouse, 500 Indiana Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001 on the JM floor, Room 690.

DC Courts Marriage Bureau hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for marriage licenses. I would recommend going about 10 a.m. When you arrive, you will have to go through metal detectors. The Marriage Bureau has a time waiting system, that will let you know the wait time before you go.
Know Before You Go! Check How Many Customers in Line at the Marriage Bureau

You are required to show proof of age for both of you, through one of the following documents:
US valid driver’s license,
Government-issued non-driver’s ID,
or Passport.
The minimum age for marriage in the District of Columbia is 18, or 16 with the consent of a parent or guardian.
The marriage license application fee is $45.00. The court accepts cash, credit card, check or money order made payable to: "Clerk, DC Superior Court".
Once issued, a marriage license does not expire.
Please remember to bring all your marriage license documents with you on your wedding day! Your officiant will complete multiple pages!
